Younger students are increasingly struggling with scissor projects, and this class aims to give them a good basis for this important coordination and creative skill.
VA-028 Symmetrical Masks (3-12)
Students will apply bilateral symmetry when cutting shapes from folded paper to create an abstract mask.
VA-029 Underwater Adventures (K-8)
Let’s go under the sea to the depths of the ocean floor and learn how to paint an eight legged octopus!
VA-030 Vacation Snowglobes (K-3)
In this session, students will learn about snow globes from around the world, design and simple drawing techniques to create their own snow globe.
VA-031 Handwriting Mythical Creatures (3-8)
Students will use their cursive handwriting skills to turn their name into creative mythical creatures or insects while learning and to recognize shapes and images that are symmetrical.
VA-004 The Way of Painting (7-13)
After analyzing a sample painting, students will learn step-by-step techniques for creating their own original artwork.
VA-005 Painting to Free the Mind (PK-12)
The class will focus on painting floral scenes set against a sky backdrop.

Students will explore the coastline of Louisiana to discover the animals of this habitat by creating their own landscape.
