After exploring emotionally-charged artwork and poetry created by various artists and authors, students will create their own artwork or writing featuring images or words based on things (not people) that make them emotional.

Each student will receive two adjectives and a noun, randomly pulled from a hat. They will then be encouraged to create an illustration or write a story
M-005 The Flute and Drawing (PK-8)
Students will listen to the music of the flute and use drawing to express the imagined stories and moods from the sounds heard.
M-006 History of Jazz & Saxophone (1-12)
Jeremy Benoit “JB Saax ” takes students through a crash course of how Jazz began and the integral role the saxophone plays in its inception.
M-007 Inside the Recording Studio (1-12)
Students will be exposed to basic, intermediate, and advanced recording techniques and will even be granted the opportunity to record their own personal soundtrack.
M-008 Therapeutic Sound: Musical Instruments for Relaxation (PreK-12)
This is an opportunity for students to listen deeply and cultivate stillness while experiencing and learning about therapeutic sound instruments.
M-009 A Mermaid Music Lesson: Emotional Regulation (6-12)
Learn the basics of how the voice works. Explore the creativity of making new sounds.
CM-019 Command the Room – Movement tools for Public Speaking (7-12)
Help students develop dynamic, authentic presence by exploring Laban’s Effort Qualities—a system for understanding how movement expresses intention, emotion, and energy.
M-010 Zydeco Music History Told by Chubby Carrier (PK-12)
This interactive session will focus on teaching the students where Zydeco music originated and how important it is to keep our tradition and culture alive.
CM-020 A Lesson In Street Dance (K-12)
In this session students will learn a breakdown of the history of different unique street dance styles such as House, Locking, Popping, Freestyle Hip-Hop, and Breaking.
