Elementary School
M-001 Telling Your Story on the Djembe (PK-5)
Everyone has a story to tell! In this session, students will learn first that the most important thing in communication is really learning how to listen!
M-002 The Drum Circle (PK-5)
Students will learn three simple hand movements on the djembe or other percussive instruments will then be brought together in a circle.
M-003 Music, Imagination, and Storytelling (PK-12)
Students will learn how the sounds of the flute can be used to evoke stories with various moods and feelings.
M-004 The Magic of the Flute Family – Music and Emotions (PK-8)
Students will learn about the various instruments of the flute family: recorder, piccolo, flute, alto flute, and bass flute.
M-005 The Flute and Drawing (PK-8)
Students will listen to the music of the flute and use drawing to express the imagined stories and moods from the sounds heard.
M-006 History of Jazz & Saxophone (1-12)
Jeremy Benoit “JB Saax ” takes students through a crash course of how Jazz began and the integral role the saxophone plays in its inception.
M-007 Inside the Recording Studio (1-12)
Students will be exposed to basic, intermediate, and advanced recording techniques and will even be granted the opportunity to record their own personal soundtrack.
CM-016 Moving Through Math: Exploring Geometry and Space with Laban Movement (3-5)
Students will explore geometric concepts and spatial reasoning through the lens of dance, using Rudolf Laban’s Space Harmony principles.
CM-017 Exploring Space Harmony: Integrating math and Dance through Icosahedrons (2-5)
Bring geometry to life through movement. In this hands-on, minds-on class, students will explore the powerful intersection of mathematics and dance using toothpicks, gumdrops, and their own bodies.
