This is an opportunity for students to listen deeply and cultivate stillness while experiencing and learning about therapeutic sound instruments.
M-006 History of Jazz & Saxophone (1-12)
Jeremy Benoit “JB Saax ” takes students through a crash course of how Jazz began and the integral role the saxophone plays in its inception.
M-005 The Flute and Drawing (PK-8)
Students will listen to the music of the flute and use drawing to express the imagined stories and moods from the sounds heard.
CM-016 Moving Through Math: Exploring Geometry and Space with Laban Movement (3-5)
Students will explore geometric concepts and spatial reasoning through the lens of dance, using Rudolf Laban’s Space Harmony principles.
CM-015 Quilting Louisiana Culture (1-4)
Students will learn about the historical and cultural significance of quilts in Louisiana communities, including influences from African American, Creole, Cajun, and Native traditions.
