Jeremy Benoit, aka “JB Saax,” takes students through a journey of the professional recording artist/studio engineer. Students will be exposed to basic, intermediate, and advanced recording techniques and will even be granted the opportunity to record their own personal soundtrack. This course gives exposure to music industry standard operations and provides insight on how professional entertainers integrated these systems into their everyday lives.

Smooth jazz saxophonist Jeremy Benoit, who is better known as “JB Saax,” is a lifelong resident of Lafayette, LA. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a BA in communications, and has a deep appreciation for the arts with emphasis on theatricality.
Jeremy has performed all over the state of Louisiana as well as other regional areas. He has opened shows for many big stars including gospel recording artist Vickie Winans, R&B sensation Cupid, Wendle B, the legendary Major Handy, and more! He has also performed at many Jazz Festival events and has been involved in play scoring, video editing, music producing, track editing, sound engineering, music performance production, and graphic designing for over a decade. Jeremy regularly performs with the Acadiana Ecumencial Choir and the UL gospel choir.
