The best classrooms are full of energy and inspiration – and the same is true of street dance! This session includes a historical breakdown of diverse and unique street dance styles such as House, Locking, Popping, Freestyle Hip-Hop, and Breaking. Students will also learn self-expression, motivation, hard work, and will participate in a live dance workshop. It’s a dance and history fusion in your classroom!

Terrance Morgan

Terrance Michael Morgan is a Louisiana-born artist, speaker, and self-taught freestyle dancer who has dedicated his career to youth empowerment through his organization, The TMM Project (The True Mission Matters Project). After honing his skills in the street dance scene, Morgan elevated his craft to world-renowned stages, including the Apollo Theater, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, ArtBreak Festival, and Festival International de Louisiane. Since 2004, when he founded the Parc Jam at Festival International, he has been a pillar of the local arts community, maintaining long-standing affiliations with organizations such as the Acadiana Center for the Arts, Greater Arts Council of Baton Rouge, Shreveport Regional Arts Council, and Young Audiences of Louisiana. Today, he leverages his expertise as a motivational and educational speaker, performing weekly at schools, libraries, community events, and festivals to spread a message of positivity and purpose.
