In this STEAM-based mini-residency, students design and paint a collaborative mural while learning measurement, proportion, and perspective.
VA-002 Wall Works: Mural Lab (6-12)
Working as a team, they’ll develop a concept inspired by poetry, writing, or events, then scale it up using math, grids, and safe equipment.
VA-004 The Way of Painting (7-13)
After analyzing a sample painting, students will learn step-by-step techniques for creating their own original artwork.
VA-005 Painting to Free the Mind (PK-12)
The class will focus on painting floral scenes set against a sky backdrop.
VA-006 The Northern Lights (K-12)
In this lesson, students will create their own renditions of the northern lights.
