TEACHING ARTIST SESSION
Each student will receive two adjectives and a noun, randomly pulled from a hat. They will then be encouraged to create an illustration or write a story (or both!) inspired by the creative combination of words, building their imagination and sense of humor.
Single session
Denise Gallagher is an accomplished artist, author and illustrator. Her artwork is unique and mysterious, drawing inspiration from mythology, nature and her Louisiana home. Her illustrations have graced children’s books, packaging and festival posters. She was the official poster artist of Festival International 2016 and Festivals Acadiens et Créoles 2022. Denise is devoted to promoting a love of arts and literature and her artwork has been exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Indianapolis and throughout Louisiana.
