In this session, we will explore the art of visual storytelling. We will read and analyze works that combine words and images as narrative tools, to see how they complement each other. Then, we will create our own short stories using these devices.

Ladi Opaluwa

Ladi Opaluwa is a Nigerian writer and educator. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her work has been published in Electric Literature, Craft Literary, Litro Magazine, and Overland Journal. She was shortlisted for a Morland Writing Scholarship in 2015 and was awarded a MacDowell Fellowship in 2017.
