VA-016 Hearts of Clay (K-2)

Easter, Elementary School, Jan Fontenot, Mother's/Guardian Day, St. Landry Parish, Visual Art

Students will learn to roll clay coil shapes and spirals to form heart shapes with clay. Clay hearts can be made as gifts, ornaments or just for creative fun! We’ll complete the activity by writing a simple message about the creation to go along with our hearts.

Jan Fontenot

Jan Fontenot is an artist who lives in the Grand Prairie area and also teaches part time at a local high school. She loves to get children involved in all types of art making especially to those who do not have the opportunity or resources to do so.
